Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you use this website or ask Stonecraft Billings Concrete and Masonry for an estimate or for work on your property. "We" and "us" mean Stonecraft Billings Concrete and Masonry, and "you" means the person using the site or hiring us.
By using the site, contacting us or booking a job, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. If anything here is unclear, ask us through the contact page or call (406) 318-2106 before you book.
When you sign a written estimate or contract for a job, that document controls the job. If it says something different from this page, the signed document wins.
What we do
We're a masonry contractor in Billings, MT, doing concrete and masonry work for homeowners in Billings, Lockwood, Laurel and the cities around them. Our work includes foundation repair, chimney and brick repair, tuckpointing, retaining walls, pavers, walkways, stone veneer, fireplaces and outdoor kitchens. You'll find every service listed on the home page and more about who we are on our about page.
What this site says about our services is general. The work we'll actually do at your house is what your written estimate or contract describes, because every wall, chimney and slab is different.
Estimates and pricing
Our estimates are free and given on site, and you're under no obligation to book. An estimate is based on what we can see during the visit and on material prices at that time, so it's good for the period written on it. If no period is written, check with us before you book and we'll confirm it's still current.
Masonry jobs sometimes turn up hidden problems once they're open, like soft brick behind a face, rotted framing, poor soil or an old repair done wrong. If something like that changes the work or the price, we'll stop and talk it through with you, and we won't do added work or charge for it without your approval.
Any prices or ranges on this website are general information, not an offer. Your price is the one in your estimate or contract.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We set a start date with you once you approve the estimate. That date is our honest plan, not a guarantee, because weather, cold that's too hard on fresh mortar or concrete, material deliveries, permit timing and earlier jobs can move it. We'll tell you as soon as we know a date has to change.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know as soon as you can by phone or through the contact page. If you cancel after we've ordered special materials or started work, you'll owe for materials we can't return and for work already done.
We may reschedule or pause a job when conditions aren't safe, when we can't get access to the work area, or when continuing would risk the quality of the work.
Your part of the job
You agree to give our crew reasonable access to the work area and to keep pets, vehicles and people clear of it while we work. Please tell us about anything we can't see, such as sprinkler lines, private gas or electric lines, drain tile, septic systems, earlier repairs or known drainage problems, because they can change how we do the job.
You're responsible for confirming your property lines and any homeowner association rules that apply to the work. If a permit is needed, we'll talk about it with you before the job starts.
Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are written in your estimate or contract. Unless that document says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is complete.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's caught up and may use the remedies Montana law allows to collect what's owed. If you have a question about an invoice, call us before the due date and we'll go over it with you.
Warranty and what it doesn't cover
We stand behind our work and want you satisfied with every job. Any written warranty for a job is the one stated in your contract, and it covers only what it says.
Some things are normal for masonry and concrete and aren't defects. These include hairline shrinkage cracks, color and texture differences in brick, stone, mortar and concrete, and efflorescence, the white powder that can show up on masonry as moisture dries out.
Unless your contract says otherwise, the warranty doesn't cover damage from ground movement, poor drainage, freeze and thaw, de-icing salts, heavy vehicles or equipment, misuse, lack of upkeep, or later work by anyone other than our crew. Warranties on materials come from their makers and apply as the maker writes them.
Apart from what's written in your contract, and to the extent Montana law allows, we make no other warranties, express or implied. This website and its information are provided as they are, without any warranty.
Limits on our liability
To the extent Montana law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost use of part of your property, lost income or the cost of temporary arrangements. Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
Information on this website is general and isn't a structural or engineering assessment of your house. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that Montana law doesn't allow a business to limit.
Using this website
You may use this site to learn about our services and to contact us. You may not copy its text or photos for commercial use, or use the site in a way that harms it or other people's use of it.
Some links lead to sites we don't run, and our contact form is handled by an outside form service. We aren't responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
Settling a disagreement
If you're unhappy with our work or a bill, call us first at (406) 318-2106. Most problems get solved when we come back out, look at it together and agree on a fix.
If we can't settle it by talking, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. If that doesn't resolve it, any claim will be brought in the state courts in Yellowstone County, Montana.
Governing law
These terms, your use of this website and any job we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Montana. If a court finds any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the current one. Changes apply to your use of the site from the time they're posted, but they don't change a contract you've already signed with us.
If you have questions about these terms, reach us through the contact page or by phone at (406) 318-2106.
